Pray the Bay exists to serve
the greater Body of Christ in Northern California by being a catalyst and coordinating
influence for unity in our region. Although we do not claim leadership or exclusive
rights to facilitating unity, we are a broad enough body of leaders with a
strong enough history of ministry in this area to provide authentic support
to the Body of Christ on a local and regional level. Through years of prayer
and collaboration we have developed a network of relationships that can support
regional conferences, gatherings, solemn assemblies and outreaches and help
to troubleshoot the challenges created by regional coworkership.
SUPPORTING: Fostering and Supporting Regional
and Local Houses of Prayer
One of the most exciting developments
in northern California over the last several years is the emerging
prayer movement. Houses of prayer have been springing up in
key locations around our region with participation from a wide
range of churches. Each of these prayer centers is run in a
slightly different way but share the same commitment to unleashing
the power of God for the spiritual transformation of our communities,
state, nation and beyond. Pray the Bay exists to support this
emerging prayer movement by helping to supply oversight, endorsement,
finances and intercessors. We will also host a Regional Calendar
of events and links to the various prayer ministries in our
region.
SENDING: Facilitating Unified, Strategic
Outreach and Prophetic Activism
Pray the Bay is an affiliation of scores of key Churches and
ministries in this region. We are composed of large and small
churches of a wide range of ethnicities and doctrinal distinctions.
We share a common commitment to the power of unified prayer and
God-guided activism to bring transformation to our local communities
and our region. One of our primary activities as a ministry is
to support and send laborers into the marketplace to bring the
impact of the Kingdom of God in measurable ways. This includes
mobilizing regional evangelistic efforts and prophetic activism.
It also means speaking to governmental and economic leaders in
the community. We are committed to serving the Body of Christ
by being a communication hub for regional transformation opportunities.
THE PRIVILEGE OF MINISTERING IN OUR REGION
Northern California is one of the most influential
and spiritually strategic regions in the world. The San
Francisco Bay Area has been a world wide cultural leader for
more than a century and has been a center for such notable
expressions as the civil rights and hippie movements, the
New Age and counter cultural political activism. More recently
this region has been responsible for most of the development of
